The Swiss Distance Learning University of Applied Sciences (FFHS), a federally recognised university of Applied Sciences, offers part-time BSc and MSc degree programmes as well as continuing education courses since 1998. With over 20 years of experience in Distance Learning, it is Switzerland's leading e-university and an alternative for students who want to combine work, family and university studies. The FFHS offers degree programmes in the three disciplines of Economy, Information Technology and Health. It operates four campuses in Zurich, Basel, Bern and Brig. In accordance with the federal mandate, application-oriented research is carried out in the areas of Web Science, Management & Innovation, Health and E-Learning. Since 2004, the FFHS has been affiliated to the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and integrated into the overall strategy of the SUPSI.
