Institute of Physics

The Institute of Physics is responsible for cutting-edge research over the whole spectrum of Physics as well as in related domains, in collaboration with other disciplines within EPFL and beyond. This research is supported by state-of-the-art facilities and services, some of which serving also research activities outside the Institute. Moreover the research units of the Institute provide the necessary supervising environment for the education of graduate students at the front edge of their field and participate in teaching Physics throughout the EPFL curriculum.
