The DFD department conducts application-oriented research and development and provides services for third parties. Through targeted knowledge and technology transfer, it ensures the link between science and industry. On the one hand, it fulfils the requirements of the federal government and, on the other hand, it can continuously integrate the results of research and development into teaching- be it in the form of special subjects, further training courses or case studies.
