The project aims at bringing a breakthrough in the field of Distributed Optical Fibre Sensing (DOFS) by implementing machine learning tools for the development of a cost-effective and highly efficient interrogator based on direct detection phase-Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (#-OTDR) for DOFS.
